Hello everyone! 🌱💜

I’m Panda, and I’m really glad you’re here. Since I’m the person behind ADICSC, I thought it would be good to share a little about myself and why I started this community.

I’ve been connected to the AB/DL/I/C world for as long as I can remember. From a very young age this has been part of me, and it has stayed with me into adulthood. Over time I’ve learned that this isn’t just a passing curiosity—it’s a lifestyle and a natural part of who I am. Like many of you, I’ve had to work through questions, challenges, and hurdles along the way. My wife knows about this side of me, and I know there will be more to navigate together in the future. I mention that because I understand how personal, complicated, and sometimes difficult this journey can be, and I want ADICSC to be a place where those realities can be talked about openly and safely.

Outside of this community, I’m passionate about visual effects for film—I love blending creativity with technology to bring stories to life. I’m also a big fan of chess and board games, where I get to enjoy strategy and challenge. And when I need balance, I like spending time outdoors, whether that’s walking, exploring, or just taking in fresh air.

I created ADICSC because I felt there was a need for a supportive, family-friendly space where people could feel welcome no matter their background. My hope is that this becomes more than just a forum. I want it to be a place where people can share experiences, talk through issues, and celebrate wins together. Whether you’re here as an AB, a DL, an incontinent person, or a caregiver, you’ll find respect and support here.

I’ll be posting and joining in just like anyone else—not only as the admin, but as another member walking this path alongside you. Thank you for being here and helping shape ADICSC into a community we can all be proud of. 🚀

Thank you for telling about yourself. It's nice that you play chess like me. I also like being outdoors. I often go on bike rides. From short errands, such as shopping, to 10, 20, 30 km or longer.

This is impressive, man I should get a bike…

How do you play chess? Learning the openings or just going with the flow from the start?
It doesn't feel that impressive when a bicycle has been my primary means of transportation since I was 7 years old. I have always cycled first to school and later to work.

I have learned some chess openings that I like to play. But I am far from knowing all openings and will often play opening moves that are not the most common but are not bad either, in order to throw my opponent off their theoretical knowledge so that we play on more equal terms.

I also like to choose moves that can lead to a quick advantage or victory if my opponent makes a mistake, if I have the opportunity and know the trap. For example, when I checkmated a relatively highly rated opponent in move 6: 1. e4 c6 2. Nf3 d5 3. Nc3 dxe4 4. Nxe4 Nf6 5. Qe2 Nbd7 6. Nd6#

He should have seen it, and would certainly have done so at a later stage in the game, but it is easy to overlook checkmate threats in the opening phase because you don't expect them.

Yeah that always feels good to win from putting people in a trap. Especially when you start with a rooks pawn for giggles.
